Postponed: OCU invites high school students to 鈥楪et Psyched鈥

Note: This event was postponed from it's original date to Feb. 18

向日葵视频 City University will host an event Feb. 18 for prospective high school and transfer students interested in the field of psychology.

鈥淕et Psyched鈥 will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will include information from Melissa Hakman, chair and director of OCU鈥檚 psychology programs. Prospective students will also hear from current undergraduate students about their learning and work experiences, careers available to psychology graduates, and financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

鈥淧sychology is an important, diverse and exciting field of study that provides graduates with a wide variety of career opportunities at the bachelors or graduate level,鈥 Hakman said. 鈥淚t also gives people the opportunity for personal growth, to learn about others, and to make a difference in people鈥檚 lives whether that is in their mental health, work productivity, motivation or physical health, just to name a few.鈥

Registration is available online up to the day before the event. Masks are required while indoors and lunch will be provided. For more information, contact Danielle Miles at [email protected].

鈥淕et Psyched鈥 will take place at the same time as OCU鈥檚 Undergraduate Research Day, an annual event showcasing students鈥 research projects. 鈥淕et Psyched鈥 participants will have an opportunity to see the project presentations on display.
