French

The purpose of ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ City University’s modern language program is to introduce you to international cultures and to provide the linguistic and cultural competencies to enrich your education and expand career options in a multicultural world. Fluency in a second language and culture enhances any career — medical, public service, diplomatic/mission, international aid work, teaching, communication, travel, entertainment, business, and the arts.

Modern Language minors require 18 hours in the same language, including the elementary courses. We currently offer Beginning and Intermediate -level instruction available on campus in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish. Advanced language instruction in all languages besides Spanish will require some study abroad or transfer coursework.
