"MOVE! Dance for the World of Entertainment" is the annual spring performance of the Star Dance Company from the Ann Lacy School of American Dance & Entertainment. 

MOVE! honors the legacy of the Ann Lacy School of American Dance & Entertainment while embracing dance for the world of entertainment! Over 120 performers will illuminate the stage with vivid costumes, dynamic movement, and contagious energy. Get ready to have your spirit revitalized and to be left wanting more!

OCU’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment was founded by recently retired Dance Chair Jo Rowan and Dean John Bedford to create the first dance program in America to offer degrees specializing in entertainment dance forms of tap, jazz, and musical theatre dance. Our namesake Ann Lacy played an important role providing support needed to bring Jo Rowan and Dean John Bedford’s vision to full reality. We continue to be named in the top 10 collegiate dance programs and alumni can be found performing, managing, choreographing, and teaching all over the world. This season is dedicated to the memory of Ann Lacy. We are forever grateful for her passion, love, and support.

OCU was the first dance program in America to offer degrees specializing in entertainment dance forms of tap, jazz and musical theater dance. Dancers from across the country come to OCU every year to hone their craft and go on to incredibly successful careers in show business. Alums can be found performing, managing, choreographing and teaching all around the world.
